It is a book written by an engineering professional in the exercise of another profession, teaching, and addressed to colleagues in similar conditions. In teaching, the author learned that the most important thing in professional training at the university is to develop cognitive and communicational skills in students, using the specific knowledge to be transmitted as a didactic resource. Therefore, the method used was student-centered learning and was based on the natural process of learning by doing; according to the axiom "to learn engineering you have to do engineering". To this end, the book suggests some tasks, so that the mechanical engineering student begins to carry out the profession from the first year of studies.
