Ich muss leider sagen, dass ich sehr viel mehr erwartet hatte. Nach obiger Inhaltsangabe war ich davon ausgegangen, das die beiden irgendwann ganz offen ihre Zusammengehörigkeit bekannt geben, was nicht der Fall war. Ich gehe davon aus, das Khalids Familie bis heute keine Ahnung hat. Von "aus dem Nähkästchen plaudern" kann auch keine Rede sein, denn es wird fast nichts preisgegeben. Um festzustellen, dass es schwierig ist eine Beziehung mit einem Araber zu führen, der auch noch einem Herrschergeschlecht entstammt, dafür braucht es kein ganzes Buch.
Ich kenne einige Bücher über "Frauenschicksale" mit Männern aus anderen Kulturen, die wirklich interressant sind ("Die weiße Massai", "Nicht ohne meine Tochter" und einige mehr) aber dieses gehört definitiv nicht dazu.
Man erfährt zwar von ein paar Verhaltensregeln dieses Landes, aber dafür ist man vermutlich mit einem Reiseführer besser bedient
