This study investigated the differential effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and Autogenic Therapy (AT) in fostering emotional adjustment among adolescents. A 3 2 factorial design was used for the study. A total number of eighty-four (84) students selected from three (3) secondary schools in Edo State participated in the treatment programmes. These students whose selection was based on the pre-test scores were made up of male and female, middle and late adolescents. The instruments used for the study were the Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Insecurity Scales under the Emotional Adjustment Inventory (EAI) in Odebunmi (1991) Psychological Test for Counselling and Health Management. A Two-Way Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) and the t-test statistics were used to analyze the data and to test the nine null hypotheses formulated for the study at .01 level of significance.
