The instruments used for the study were the Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Insecurity Scales under the Emotional Adjustment Inventory (EAI) in Odebunmi (1991) Psychological Test for Counselling and Health Management. A Two-Way Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) and the t-test statistics were used to analyze the data and to test the nine null hypotheses formulated for the study at .01 level of significance.
