Autorenporträt
Dr. Valerie J. Thompson has a doctoral degree in Adult and Higher Education, from the University of Oklahoma and has 16 years of experience in higher education. Specifically, she coordinates and teaches within the Higher Education Leadership Graduate Certificate program at Wichita State University and her research interests center Black women student affairs professionals and burnout, compassion fatigue, intersectionality, (race and gendered) stress and (race and gendered) fatigue. Dr. Jean A Patterson has a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from UNC-Chapel Hill and has 24 years of experience in higher education as an administrator and faculty member. She is graduate coordinator for the EdD in Educational leadership at Wichita State University and has published and presented research about issues relevant to higher education, with a focus on how to best serve underrepresented student populations.
