In developing of this book the published and still unpublished results of our own and available in the literature results of other authors were used. The problems of solid-state diffusion and surface absorption have so far been dealt with a completely different theoretical model. Diffusion within the classical or quantum model, and absorption - only within the classical model. Marcin Szuta graduated in technical physics at the Electronic Faculty of Technical University of Gdäsk ¿ Poland (1962).Higher degrees: Ph.D. in 1977, D.Sc. in 1997.
