In recent decades, the news media have undergone or are still undergoing a process of transformation that affects its various dimensions, including technological, business, professional, information content and the relationship with the audience itself, and this process is called convergence. Consequently, the transformations manifested in the aforementioned dimensions are naturally having important implications in the processes of production, dissemination and reception of media messages of all news media. In this context, this book seeks to identify and describe the main transformations imposed by convergence in television journalism.
