The digital, or rather the notion of digital death is little known, if not completely unknown in the Democratic Republic of Congo. On the one hand, because it is with difficulty that the notion of the digital seems to enter the socio-political microcosm. On the other hand, there is no Congolese legislation on digital technology and, consequently, on everything related to it, especially the fate of data that anyone deposits in tools or applications dedicated to digital technology. Indeed, the study on digital death starts from a social observation that allows to note the defaults to which the users of the Internet without them noticing, or simply because they ignore it. It is no secret that the advent of digital technology has had a major influence on the behavior of contemporary man in that man spends most of his time throwing on the web a wealth of information about him, without realizing that this information is valuable data requiring protection for fear of being used for various purposes. This data, known as personal data, contains all the elements that make up the identity of a person.
