Whilst travelling throughout Nova Scotia and on to New York City, she has to deal with the dilemma of Jake contacting her to profess his love and desire to reunite. As the story progresses we are taken on a roller-coaster ride, as Jessica deals with Jake's vacillation and her desire to be free of his thrall. A uniquely visual story that sees our protagonist experience many journeys: physically, emotionally, and metaphorically. A story of romance which lurches from pathos to comedy, this tale of love in later life is interspersed with tasteful erotica. A testament to the power that female friendships, nostalgic book characters and music have, in enabling us to navigate our way back from heartbreak .
