Optimizing of production operations is very important in the aspects of increasing the production rate with better efficiency and reduced cost of production. The purpose of my work is to find the correction factors with the help of performance curves of heavy oil and its different viscosity diluted cases used in an ESP pump and comparing them with the original water performance curve. The aim is to use Nodal System Analysis to check the effect of the dilutions on the energy requirements of the production. Testing these liquids on a given well data to find the production rates, the power requirements and measuring the influence of viscosities on the overall performance of pump. Viscosities of different liquid mixtures are measured with the help of rotational viscometer. The calculations to find the correction factors are made on MathCAD and performance curves are generated on Microsoft Excel. The Nodal System Analysis made in Prosper simulation is used to identify the optimum production conditions and dilution rate for a given Hungarian ESP pumped heavy oil producer well.
