Polyether, introduced in the 1960s, has long been popular among clinicians for providing dimensionally stable impressions. Vinyl polysiloxane,was introduced in the 1970s,it's wide spread was due to its dimensional accuracy and stability.Recently a new generation hybrid impression material called vinyl siloxanether has been developed with a back bone derived from both polyether and vinyl polysiloxane impression materials. The purpose of thisstudy was to evaluate the dimensional accuracy of the newly introduced vinyl siloxanether impression material in comparison with the commonly used polyether and vinyl polysiloxane impression materials.
