Dr. Sunny Philip was born into an ancient christian family in South India. After his college education, he migrated to New York to continue his studies. Because of his personal struggles with faith issues, he always had a desire to help young people and was instrumental in establishing a Christian youth organization named PYFA in New York. That led to greater commitments in ministry, and eventually he became a full-time minister in 1994. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Gateway Christian Center in Valley Stream, New York. He holds degrees in chemistry, chemical engineering and theology. He has three adult children and six grandchildren. He lives with his wife of forty-five years on Long Island, New York.
