Bangladeshi rural and urban adult patients of diabetes related disease were discriminated separately from other adults. The diseases were diabetes-hypertension, diabetes-heart, diabetes-kidney, diabetes-retinopathy, and diabetes-disability. The four most responsible variables for discrimination of rural patients of diabetes-hypertension from other rural adults were age and duration of diabetes, habit of taking restaurant food and involved in sedentary activity. The first four most responsible variables in discriminating urban patients of diabetes-hypertension were duration of diabetes, age, body mass index and involvement in sedentary activity. Smoking habit, duration of diabetes, hypertension, body mass index, involvement in sedentary activity were the responsible variables in discriminating both rural and urban patients of diabetes-heart disease. Diabetes-kidney disease patients were discriminated well by the variables duration of diabetes age, hypertension and body mass index.Discrimination of rural and urban patients of from other adults of other diseases were also noted for the variables duration of diabetes, smoking habit, body mass index, and sedentary activity.
