Based on malaise in civilisation and today, the author addresses malaise in organisations, taking as her point of reference the processes of dismissal-separation that occur with the executives she assists. The aim of this study is to analyse the symbolic representation of weaning and its consequences when executives break with their professional activity due to dismissal or compulsory retirement. Important in this process are the symptoms that highlight the nature of the relationship between executives and their work and the pathogenic nature of organisations.
