Halakhe Ganyu was born to a Pastauralist Borana family,residing on Ethio-Kenyan border.In early 80''s after being imprisoned fled Ethiopia to Somalia as a refugee. He was resettled in Australia in 1985. He has been studying and working as a social worker with refugees experiencing the psychological and social challenges of the new environment.
