Today, the consolidated practice of Distance Education, fully inserted in the context of the development of and greater access to information and communication technologies, makes it possible to further democratize higher education in the country. But how has it been introduced into academic environments and higher education courses? Is there any preparation or training for those who will be working with it? What problems will they face? As the text will show the reader interested in the subject, the problems that arise are pedagogical, administrative, human resources and inexperience in financial management. More work needs to be done, work that exposes the reality, because many of us believe that these problems are only occurring on our course, when this is not true. This work is aimed at those who work as course coordinators, teachers who work or will work in distance learning courses and university managers in general.
