Mary Pryor Porter is a teacher, poet, writer, blogger and author of the new novel "Distance Too Far: A Young Girl's Spiritual Journey." Mary's 20 years of experience as a High School teacher shines through her novel revealing the struggles of a teenage girl and her transformation into adulthood. Mary has a MEd in Special Education from Kent State University, and an MA in Communication in Training and Development from the University of Akron. Mary is a member of the Council of Exceptional Children (CEC) and a member of the Assoc. for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). Mary is a published poet in Echoes of Yesterday by The National Library of Poetry (Editor), the poem "God's Love, Peace and Joy." She is also published in the International Who's Who in Poetry ( Various) (Author) poem, "Untitled." Mary is a lifelong learner who writes through the lens of transformative living by, 2 Cor. 11:13 but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
