Today than ever before worldwide, distance education continues to thrive. As institutions endeavour to deliver education programmes through distance learning, the key issues lie in quality assurance and sustainability. In working towards ensuring and raising the quality of the distance-learning programme in institutions we should put into consideration the quality of the products. The quantitative data obtained in this research were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The two were obtained using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test. The results indicate that as distance education continues to become a reality in institutions of learning, addressing the question of quality will involve the need to rethink the issue of training lecturers to handle distance education. Provision for study packs tailored for the population of students with access to technology should be put in place. On a micro-level, institutions offering distance education programmes need to provide an orientation to their lecturers to work in these programmes. This book is an asset to all academic institutions offering distance education anywhere in the world.
