There are dozens and dozens of blogs and books about being creative, by really well known, well respected, highly creative people. Many of those books and those people will get a mention in here but there's a problem with most of those books. The highly creative person writes a book about what they do, what makes them create and how they have lived their best and worst creative life. But they are not me. They are not you. We are all different and maybe some of us are more different than others. If I want a book that helps me, the best thing to do is write my own book. The best thing for you, however, is if someone digs through all those other books, all the research, the reams, and years of knowledge, and then distils it all down into a set of simple understandings that relate to us all. In other words, a book that looks not at the unique individual, but at the common, the uniform, the things that matter to all of us. And that's what I have done. Distilled creativity.
