The excessive use of herbicides to increase the yield in crop field enhances the level of toxicity in the environment. High availability of herbicides in the soil, drainage, plant system and other organisms make them potential toxic substance and adversely affecting the morphology, physiology, biochemical and cytological injuries. Herbicide application requires permanent investigations, tradition and long term prediction, to enable not only good business for production but high productivity, high value food obtainment.

A graduate of Deshbandhu College (Delhi University) Delhi, postgraduate of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, he obtained his Ph. D. degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
