Dalilah's psychic abilities were exceptional and exhibited by her as early as her sixth year of life. Those special abilities had brought her new stepfather into her life. She was at her biological father's funeral when she realized that she could communicate telepathically with someone in the room, other than her mother. She was able to see her mother's dreams and when she saw the man who had been in them, she spoke to him through telepathy. Eighteen months later he married her mother and committed to be a father to her and her siblings. Her ability to undergo materialization, disappearance or teleportation was first displayed in the author's second book, "The Magic in Being Special". In the same book, her mother discovered that Dalilah's ability of channeling had given her a playmate that was the spirit of a little boy, who was killed in the house where they lived. He died in the author's first book, "The Dark One". Her exception artistic skills allowed her to draw a detail picture of her Aunt Shelley's abductor in the author's third book, "Battered, But Not Broken". In the same book, Dalilah's psychic skills helped her exposed the fact that her Aunt Shelley was being beaten when she touched her bruises. With her clairvoyance and remote viewing skills, she could see or have vision in mental flashes that included pictures of people, scenes, objects, spirits or symbols and colors. But none of her skills or abilities foretold of the diversions life had planned for her.
