God desires for us to be happy and to live prosperous lives on this earth, however that life is attained through serving Him. We selfishly want all that we do to bring us glory and advance our earthly kingdoms. After all, we were made in His image, so it makes sense that we desire to advance our kingdom as He desires to advance His Kingdom. However, the key is not to place our desires above God's (John8:54 NKJV). Our whole purpose for existing is to advance God's Kingdom. Many of us may view this concept as a life of oppression, but the truth is, there is abundance through our service. Living on purpose every day of our lives and remaining mindful of who we are in Christ will truly transform our responses. This 31-day devotional was created to foster the habit of spending time in His presence by taking small, yet intentional steps to redirect your thoughts. Each day will reveal a lie I've believed (myth), the truth I've learned as I grew closer to God and daily scriptures and mantras for you to meditate on until you begin to believe His truth. His name is enough when your situation takes the wind out of your sails.
Autorenporträt
Born in Tobago - Trinidad & Tobago T.F. Hoskins loves and appreciates her West-Indian heritage. Her upbringing and exposure to diversity has instilled a great appreciation, understanding, and love for people of different cultures and ethnicities. At a very young age, Hoskins began to show interest in law and had a dream of becoming an attorney. In an effort to fulfill her dream of being an attorney, she began to pursue knowledge in all dimensions; acquiring a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Paralegal Certificate from the Northeastern University. Hoskins' love for academics and passion for law earned her an acceptance by the London School of Law, though she was unable to answer the call, Hoskins went on to receive additional certifications through Harvard's Management Mentor Program along with additional certifications as a Prepare/Enrich Marital Coach. With the acquisition of training and skills, she achieved a milestone in 2008 as she served as the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of GA, Inc. She was the first female and the youngest to ever occupy the honorary position, setting standards and by leaving a legacy during her term from 2008 to 2010. Making a brave move from Boston to Atlanta, Hoskins made the decision to leave her job at the Board of Bar Overseers of Massachusetts, SJC. At the time it was a tough but important decision. She left everything she built and achieved to start all over again in a city (Atlanta) that she visited only once. But little did she know, it was a blessing in disguise. Later on, Hoskins met her husband, a relationship that brought an entirely new meaning to life. The relationship was fruitful as she and Mr. Hoskins welcomed a son to the family. The birth of their son was the best thing that happened to her; she affectingly refers to them (husband and son) as her M&M's. Hoskins currently works as a Service Delivery Analyst who manages and performs quality control reviews for over $1 billion dollars of non-qualified accounts held by a major bank. Although an Author and Life Coach, Hoskins most honorable ministry is being a wife to a caring husband and a mother to her loving son.
