Michael Treschow, Ph.D. (Toronto, 1991) on A Study of the ece Word-Group, and its Use in the Alfredian Translations, is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Critical Studies at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. His publications include articles on Alfred the Great, John Wyclif, and J.R.R. Tolkien. He is currently preparing a new edition of King Alfred's translation of Augustine's Soliloquies. Walter Hannam is Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology and Anglican Studies at the College of Emmanuel and St Chad, Saskatoon, Canada, and a doctoral candidate in the Department of Theology, Boston College. He has published articles on the thought of St Augustine of Hippo and is currently editing a critical edition of the Inevitabile of Honorius Augustodunensis. Willemien Otten, Ph.D. (1989) on The Anthropology of Johannes Scottus Eriugena, is Professor of the History of Christianity and Dean of Theology at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Her publications focus on early Christian and medieval theology and intellectual culture. Among her recent publications are From Paradise to Paradigm. A Study of Twelfth-Century Humanism (Leiden 2004) and, co-edited with J. Frishman and G. Rouwhorst, Religious Identity and the Problem of Historical Foundation. The Foundational Character of Authoritative Sources in the History of Christianity and Judaism (Leiden, 2004).
