Genesis is a divine revelation about the beginning of all that we observe-our world and the planet on which we live. It captured my heart because I wanted to know what God intended when He created everything that exists. The first two chapters of Genesis is a clear picture of God's intentions for the world He created. Humanity was to thrive and prosper in every sense. The good earth would yield food when people exercise their God-given ability to take care of it. God gives us the capacity to understand the natural world so that we make good use of earth's resources. Humanity was in control under the control of the Creator. There was an abundance of food, plenty of provisions to go around. The job was great, and people set aside time to rest and recuperate. Here, we saw the epidemy of "self-care." The first humans lived in a gated community, absent of crime and violence. The seasons came and seasons went and there was no foul weather to be found. Humanity communed and fellowshipped with divinity on a daily basis. In the middle of town square, a monument to eternal life had been erected and there were no restrictions about touching it.
