In the last centuries (until about 1900) these authors werde taken as sources for theological research and there was no discrimination between literature/poetry and original italic tradition. Perspective and moral view of the 19th century added more misinterpretations and made the knowledge of Roman religion almost vanish. Existing rests are collected in this book and compared with the actual astrological symbols. So the reader can recognize how much of Roman ideas can be found in the planetary symbols nowadays. Simultaneously new points of view are opened for the interpretation of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.

Hannelore Goos erwarb ihr astrologisches Rüstzeug im früheren »Astrologischen Arbeitskreis« in Frankfurt am Main, u.a. bei Manfred M. Herm, Edith Wangemann und Bernd A. Mertz. Ein ausführliches Literaturstudium ergänzte Vorträge und Seminare. Seit 2001 befasst sie sich schwerpunktmäßig mit astrologischer Grundlagenforschung, insbesondere mit der Signaturenlehre. Das Ergebnis dieser Arbeit war das seit 2002 erschienene »Handbuch der Astrologischen Zuordnungen«. Da Frau Goos nicht nur ihre Muttersprache Deutsch, sondern auch Latein, Englisch, Französisch, Schwedisch und Niederländisch gelernt hat, konnten wichtige ausländische Quellen in das Werk Eingang finden. Da der Titel zu Missverständnissen führte, wird es nun unter der passenderen Bezeichnung »Lexikon der astrologischen Zuordnungen« weitergeführt.
