DIY Fish-Line Lite is a "do it yourself" guide on how to quickly build your own underwater fish light that attaches to a fishing line near the hook. Designed mainly for night fishing, these devices also work during dark, overcast days. Their purpose is to attract fish to the lighted underwater area and, therefore, improve catch rates. Although similar devices are on the market, this do-it-yourself version can be constructed inexpensively and quickly and has a fairly big footprint in the water. Either attach the light just above your hook/s and weight or use it on a separate rod-and-reel and then fish near the lighted area with lures or other types of bait. During an experiment, the fish-light device was put underwater for eight straight days and the lights were still burning. We estimate the cost of each device to be around $5.00 when about five are made at a time. Also included in the book is an explanation of how to easily build a live bird and varmint trap. The trigger has a number "4" configuration and is carved out of three sticks of wood. It is a method handed down generation to generation, but is seldom seen in today's world. It is a great survival technique to know.
