Mitchell Milch, LCSW, wants to help you transform your life in ways you never imagined. Milch spent years sifting through the various parts of his personality-defense mechanisms and all-in an effort to emerge renewed and energized to make his life a signed work of art. Now, he is sharing his story with others to help them break the mindless chains of causation that compel people to repeat their futile habitual modes of behavior. Mitchell Milch, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who practices psychotherapy as a sole practitioner. Milch earned a master's degree in social work in 1992 from Yeshiva University-the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. He completed a six-year certificate in psychoanalysis through the Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of New Jersey in 2012. A longtime runner, Milch first began the sport while at college and achieved a marathon time of 2:55 in 1978. His love for running at first morphed into a growth stunting addiction. Over time, however, his adoption of interval sprint training as a habit of success in conjunction with other forms of mindfulness training increased the self-regulating capacities of a nervous system once destabilized by emotional traumas large and small. Such regulatory flexibility primed Milch to creatively adapt to bigger and bigger challenges he now initiated and pursued with passionate vigor. Milch recently reconnected with his interest in songwriting and performance and released his first CD of original pop music, Late Bloomer Boomer, in 2016. Milch lives with his wife, Laura, in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and has two grown daughters from a former marriage.
