Jillian Lavender is one of the world's most experienced teachers of Vedic meditation - the oldest and most researched meditation technique in the world - and the author of Why Meditate? Because it Works. As co-founder of the New York Meditation Center and the London Meditation Centre, she has helped thousands of people across the globe to transform their lives. Originally from New Zealand, Jillian held senior leadership positions at publishing companies in Sydney, New York, and Paris. During this demanding time, she learned Vedic meditation. The improvements to her life were immediate and profound. She left her job and spent hundreds of hours meditating and studying to become a Vedic meditation teacher. Alongside teaching, Jillian is an expert in Ayurveda, working with clients on health, diet, sleep, fertility and lifestyle. She coaches groups and individuals in business, personal leadership and wellbeing. She now lives in London with her partner and daughter. She loves being by the sea and spending time in India.
