Dr. Grell Ferdinand is an accomplished author, educator, and pastor whose life story is both inspiring and transformative. Born in Erin, Trinidad, to hardworking farming parents with strong Christian values, Dr. Ferdinand's early life was marked by determination and a passion for learning. As a child, he endured a four-hour bus ride to high school-a journey that introduced him to a literary club where he learned the art of writing and public presentation by reading, summarizing, and discussing books. After relocating to Maracas Valley, he completed his secondary education at a Christian school, setting the stage for his future in teaching. Dr. Ferdinand began his career at Southern Academy and later taught at Guapo Government School and Saint Joseph School. Even while dedicating himself to educating young minds, he pursued higher education, earning a bachelor's degree in Spanish and History from the University of the West Indies. His academic journey took him to the United States, where he obtained a master's degree in Education in Florida and later a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova University. With these achievements, Dr. Ferdinand transitioned into writing, authoring several impactful books such as Do You Know Who You Are?, God Is Our Refuge and Strength, and Nobody Else Could Give a Better Deal. He is currently working on his fourth book, God's Inestimable Value of the Human Soul. Now retired from teaching, Dr. Ferdinand serves as a pastor, passionately spreading the message of faith and hope. His rich background in education, leadership, and spiritual guidance continues to inspire others through both his written work and his dedicated service to the community.
