Autorenporträt
Patrick was born in France and speaks English with a very strong French accent. Most people have a hard time believing that he is related to Mark Twain and that part of his family landed in America in 1642. Patrick has been called "Tex" since kindergarten. He spent 37 years in Africa, where he was a photographic safari guide. He has three children and two grandchildren, all of whom are multilingual (they are scattered across three continents). This multiculturalism inspired him to write and illustrate books that would help English- and French-speaking children learn a foreign language and show them the wonders of Africa.
