Dr Alistair Lock is a training radiologist, who practices medicine in New Zealand. He created the Dr Penguin picture books to teach children about medicine and the hospital environment, in a fun way that reduces fears and inspires imagination. He is supported by his loving wife Ann and son Lucas. Dr Barney Rathnayaka is a budding anaesthetist training in New Zealand. Having illustrated all his life, he started his career as a freelance artist during medical school and hasn't stopped since.
