Within the scope of work and organizations, the analysis of the different factors and variables that influence the performance and labor productivity of the personnel, has been fundamental for the optimization of the strategies that will allow the achievement of the objectives within an organization. In this sense, conducting a study of organizational commitment, defined as the psychological state that characterizes the relationship that a person has with an organization and has an impact on the decision to continue to be part of it or to leave it, acquires great relevance. In the present research, a study of this variable was carried out, based on the influence of another important factor, the family environment. Addressing the problems that both individuals and organizations currently have when balancing work and family, a study was carried out with the objective of comparing organizational commitment in personnel with and without children in a food company belonging to the industrial sector in the city of La Paz, Bolivia.
