Autorenporträt
Flori Hendron was an artist, writer, and designer. She fought breast cancer for 26 years, including an astounding 16 years living with stage IV metastatic breast cancer. A passionate advocate for the breast cancer community, Flori developed and facilitated an art program at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, called Expressions of Hope and Healing. The innovative program was an engaging and safe space in which Flori taught other cancer survivors to reflect on their journey and connect with their healing through the art expression process. She was among the first class to be certified in Social Emotional Arts through UCLArts and Healing. Her advocacy focuses also included The Right Dose: Patient-Centered Dosing Initiative and the Breast Cancer Brain Metastases Marina Kaplan Project to accelerate evidence-based research for patients living with brain metastases and leptomeningeal disease. Flori spent most of her early career in product design, brand development, and marketing. She is the recipient of numerous product design awards and is well known as an innovator in color, styling, and eco-product design. In her free time, Flori enjoyed West Coast Swing dancing, creating her own work as an artist, writing short stories, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
