The purpose of this research was to analyze food security through three variables: household income level, national food production and imports of main foodstuffs. The period of analysis corresponds to 1990-2014. The work responds to the following question: What is the incidence of income levels, national production and food imports on food security in the period 1990-2014 in Peru? The tentative answer was: that income levels, national production and food imports have a direct impact on food security in the period 1990-2014 in Peru. After the corresponding discussion and analysis, it was concluded that income levels, national production and food imports have a direct and positive impact on food security in Peru during the study period, which implies that Peru has food security due to the relationship mentioned above.
