Produktbeschreibung
Domestic violence is one of the major threats to the realisation of human rights for men, women and children across societies. In this book, I committed myself to domestic violence as a developmental and human rights issue, with the aim of helping various societies in understanding and responding to domestic violence. I expose the fact that domestic violence is a negative feature across the world, and that it comes in various forms and dimensions, depending on the society being analysed. Perpetrators and victims of domestic violence are spelt out, yet evidence presented in this book shows that domestic violence has negative impact on society. I explore various responses to domestic violence and critique the effectiveness of the various responses. The recommendations I proffered are intended to create and maintain sound domestic and societal relations.
