A few friends who just graduated from high school in the late 70s are focused on having one last summer blast before they head off to work, college, or the armed services. The boys mostly just want to smoke weed, drink, and listen to rock and roll. One of them witnesses a murder and that consumes his thoughts and ruins his one shot at having fun before adulthood. The men behind the murder are part of organized crime, which has been brought into the idyllic rural town where the boys live, by a man trying to build an empire. When the two worlds collide and the murder is investigated by the police, there is a conflict and a struggle to see if good or evil wins.
