Born and raised in Chugiak, Alaska, Douglas (nee Reynolds) is a BFA theatre arts alum from Southern Oregon University. His previous works include A Normal Turtle and An Actual Family, with a fourth book, Every Witch Way, in pre-production. He lives in Portland, Oregon, with his partner, Calvin, and their Rhodesia Boxer, Harper.
