Janice Nielsen has worked in the employment field for over twenty years, as an employment counsellor, workshop facilitator, and curriculum developer. She is a Registered Vocational Rehabilitation Professional and a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals of Canada (VRA). Janice started working as a babysitter at the age of twelve and has been a job seeker ever since. After graduation, she saved her money to move to Australia, where she found a job working in a sewing shop. At thirty-eight, Janice went to college, then university. She has a British Columbia Adult Instructor Diploma from Vancouver Community College, a Human Services Diploma from North Island College, and a Justice Studies Bachelor of Arts from Royal Roads University. Janice enjoys life on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with her partner and their Staffordshire terrier cross MollyBelle Jewel. Janice also enjoys spending time with her daughter, son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren and extended family and friends.
