Writer and illustrator Ashley Holt presents thirteen essays concerning his lifelong conflict with nerd culture, the Hulks and Wookies, gamer dorks and Disney adults, endured over that last fifty-plus years of indoctrination. Join Ashley as he seeks to empathize with the nostalgia of his fellow Super Friends while also condemning them (and himself) for the nonstop Marvel carnival they love that rules modern media. It's reportedly funny. And it has cartoon drawings of the kind you stunted kidults seems to enjoy.

Autorenporträt
Ashley Holt is an American illustrator and writer living in Wuppertal, Germany. The chronicles of his tortured interior life, The Symptoms, can be enjoyed online on the noble and majestic Substack platform at thesymptoms.substack.com, and his lush illustrations may be merrily gawked upon via ashleyholt.com. He lives in the shadow of his blazingly brilliant wife, Heike, for whom he washes the dishes. He remains hopelessly monolingual.
