"The closest in originality to Books of Blood I've read in many a year..." James H Longmore This exceptional collection or spine-chillers follows the inevitable path travelled towards truth or justice, whether their own, or from the universe at large: A tough teen meets his match in an elderly woman who has been ridding the neighborhood of its thugs, one by one. A repeat drunk driver is cursed to spend the rest of his days trapped behind the wheel. A pregnant teen murders her parents and devises a gruesome nativity scene. A woman uncovers a preacher's deadly solution to ridding the world of evildoers. A serial killer looks to reunite with his estranged mother. The little things you think you see can lead to crippling paranoia, but a little self-surgery can take care of your troublesome eyes. A young woman discovers her family's fate is to sacrifice themselves to horrific mermaids. An anxious gardener murders his nosy neighbor to keep the secret about his chemically-enhanced prize rose garden. A woman is afraid of the dark because it will release the beast that lives inside her. A woman tries hypnotherapy for childhood trauma and learns her abuser is now her doctor. A woman tries to forget the murders of her baby and husband by ignoring the proof in the back seat of her car. Satan seeks revenge on the woman who spurned him by forcing her to give birth to him. A dying woman returns to her childhood home and encounters the ghosts of her enslaved ancestors.
