The increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases and the destruction of the ozone layer are linked, on the one hand, to the growth in the world's population and, on the other hand, to the development of industrial techniques and the needs they entail. The world's forests are disappearing because they are so heavily exploited. They provide wood, food, medicinal substances and fuel. They retain the soil and influence the climate (which is being disturbed to an alarming degree). Whether rainforest or dry forest, high forest or scrubland, evergreen or deciduous, they are part of our heritage. The DRC has everything it takes to tackle the problem of global warming. It is in this context that the DRC occupies a leading position in the world, and sees itself as a "solution-country" by definition and conviction. To carry out our study, we used a variety of techniques: documentary and direct observation to collect data, and the analytical method to analyze it.
