DR. MEL GOLDSTEIN has been best known as the chief meteorologist for News Channel 8 in Connecticut, and is the author of the Complete Idiot's Guide to Weather (1999). Connecticut Magazine selected Goldstein as the "Best In Connecticut On-Air Meteorologist" for 9 consecutive years, and he was recently inducted into their Hall of Fame. The National Academy of TV Arts and Sciences recently presented Goldstein with their twenty-five-year Silver Circle Award for performance and public service.
