Dr Tiziano Baccetti was Assistant professor and researcher in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Florence in Italy. He graduated cum laude in dentistry in 1989 and got a specialist of reasoning degree in dental sciences in 1996, both from the University of Florence. He had incredible facility with languages, talking 4 fluidly and being capable in 5 others, including Latin and Greek. He authored over 240 scientific articles on diverse topics, including the treatment of Class III malocclusion and orthodontic treatment timing. He was extremely productive, collaborating with researchers internationally. He had lectured in more than 25 countries around the world. Tiziano additionally was a corecipient of the Seventh Biennial Outstanding Research Award of the Edward H.Angle Education and Research Foundation in 2003.
