Autorenporträt
Merlin was born in Sydney, Australia on April 4, 1960. and grew up in North St. Ives on the edge of the Kuringgai Chase national park. After school, he started work as a Jackeroo on a farm near the NSW QLD border. In 1987, he started at University as a mature age student; and completed a Bachelor of Social Science, Double major in psychology; Graduate Diploma of Counselling, Family counselling; Bachelor of Social Science (Honours), major in Forensic psychology; Master of Social Science (Honours), major childrens reading disorders by Research. In 2004, Merlin started work with the NSW Government. In the second month of his employment, an incident occurred that so shocked and disturbed him that it caused a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Clinical Depression. To aid in his recovery, he writes, to silence the voices in his mind.
