Autorenporträt
Derik was born and raised on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada, and continues to live there with his wife and two children. His love of fantasy, especially dragons, started at a young age. Derik's long-held dream of becoming a storyteller led him to write his debut novel, Dragon Kin. When he is not writing, Derik enjoys eclectic foods, reading a good novel, staying fit, and simply marveling at the natural splendour of the mountains and ocean that surrounds his home.
