Oju Ayo is an artist, healer, intuitive face painter & maker of dragon, mermaid and hummingbird coloring meditation journals. Oju Ayo's name means "Eye of Joy" in Yoruba, a Nigerian language. Growing up in a multicultural household, having a direct connection to different cultures in the American context, gives Ayo's art a spirit and spark that speaks to those who feel overlooked, marginal, or somehow 'in between.' Influenced by the rainbow of cultures in Ayo's family and inspired by folk art from Africa, Asia and around the world. Oju Ayo believes that medicine is anything that brings healing, restores balance and promotes wholeness. Ayo uses artistic creativity to hold space, honor and allow for the integration of our primal emotions like anger, uncertainty, sadness, courage, passion, and joy.
