The village is attacked when Olwen is a young woman and she is abducted and transported to Greece and Persia. Her life unfolds, far away from her home, under the mentorship of Theon the King's Doctor. Many moments of happiness, trials, tribulations and travails are strewn on her pathway which eventually leads back to her home village of Caer Gwyn where she learns a secret of her heritage.

W. Ruth Kozak is a Canadian novelist, travel journalist, poet and playwright. Her historical fiction novel 'SHADOW OF THE LION: Blood on the Moon'; and 'SHADOW OF THE LION: The Fields of Hades' about the fall of Alexander the Great's dynasty were published in 2015 and 2017 by MediaAria CDM, UK. The full version was published on Kindle in 2020. Her book of poetry written while in Greece, 'SONGS FOR ERATO' was published on Amazon and Kindle in 2020. Ruth's play about the heroin addiction problem in Vancouver 'THE STREET' was produced in 2000 by Theatre in the Raw. Ruth is currently working on a new novel: 'THE BLACK DOVE' about Alexander's mother Olympias. Ruth lived for several years in Greece and has visited often, as well as UK, to explore most of the archaeology sites in her stories.
