"My army grows stronger... everywhere. The things you've seen and survived were, how do I put this? Child's play." - DEATH Ever had someone lazy steal all the credit for a group project? It sucks, doesn't it? So you can only imagine how Death - harbinger of all that is evil - feels to discover his apocalyptic-style takeover of Earth has been christened the Zombie RiZing. Like those braindead walkers had anything to do with it!!! Guess he's just going to have to up the ante a little bit... As the action continues in Matt J Pike's award-winning series, life is getting darker, harder and faster for Beath and her brave band of survivors and that's even before a certain scythe-wielding cloaked-wearing leader of evil has them in his sights. Monsters roam the streets in ever-growing numbers, lava rivers erupt from the earth's core and the middle of MonstrousCity has turned into evil central as the dark realm builds a literal portal to hell. Then there's the dragon, whose specialty is crispy-fried everything. And a beastie whose weapon of choice is poo torpedoes. Shots fired!!! Fortunately, all hope isn't lost. As the gang takes shelter in a mysterious new house, see off rogue survivors and outwit death and danger at every corner, a cunning new plan takes shape. One that involves taking the fight to Death himself. On his turf. And with almost no chance of victory. All in favour say "aye"! The third epic instalment of the Zombie RiZing series is here with more action, horror, laughs, fantasy, magic and epic action than ever. "'A crazy, funny, totally gripping tale of monsters and dragons. A FINALIST and highly recommended." WISHING SHELF BOOK AWARDS "Exciting and the ending was the very best" "This was perfect. I liked all the monsters and the dragon too. This is exciting, funny and mega-cool.' "A horror story but funny too." WISHING SHELF JUDGES

Autorenporträt
Like the legendary R M Williams, Matt was born in Jamestown in rural South Australia. But that's where the remarkable similarities between the two end. While Reginald went from bushman to world-renowned millionaire outback clothing designer, Matt is a complete dag who was lured by the city lights of Adelaide. Kindergarten in the big smoke was a culture shock, but it was here he first discovered his love of storytelling. In high school that love found an outlet in a series of completely unflattering cartoons about fellow students and teachers alike. He survived long enough to turn his art into a successful career in multimedia design but, like a zombified leech, the lure of the written word gnawed at him, forcing him to pen his first novel, the award-winning sci-fi comedy epic Kings of the World. It was followed the next year by Amazon Australia dystopian sci-fi best-seller Apocalypse: Diary of a Survivor. Matt donates part proceeds of each book sold to find a cure for Rett Syndrome, a neurological condition that affects the youngest of his three children, Abby. As a gorgeous Rett angel, Abby cannot walk, talk or use her hands in a meaningful way. So not only is each book purchase a ticket to fantastically rounded, character-driven, hilarious and poignant sci-fi awesomeness, it also wraps you in a warm feeling of knowing you've made a difference to people who deserve your help the most. Like the zombified leech, it's a no-brainer.
