The Graphic Moth (Drasteria graphica) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in the coastal dunes from Maine to Florida, west to Mississippi. It is also found along the shores of the Great Lakes in Michigan and Wisconsin. The wingspan is 30-35 mm. Adults are on wing from May to August and fly during the day. Larvae have only been recorded on Hudsonia tomentosa.A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera. Moths form the majority of this order; there are thought to be 150,000 to 250,000 different species of moth (about ten times the number of species of butterfly), with thousands of species yet to be described.
