Author Anna Tjalsma-Pogorzelec's signature drawing technique utilizes simple shapes and repeating patterns to create artful doodles of mushrooms, leaves, flowers, ladybugs, cats, and much more, making it a meditative practice for everyone, regardless of drawing skills. Create enchanting artwork in three simple steps: 1. Learn how to draw each shape step-by-step, with space to practice provided. 2. Repeat the shape across the template, then color it in! 3. Pull out the perforated page and frame your finished project. As an added bonus, coloring pages with black-and-white templates of each illustration are included at the end of the book. Prelims (5 pp) Introduction (2 pp) Projects (80 pp) Twenty projects will be included in this section. Each project will cover four pages and will have the following format:
Page 1: Introduction to the project; tips; a visual key showing all the shapes used. Page 2: The finished, colored artwork (what the reader is aiming for). Page 3: Drawing practice: either a step-by-step showing how to draw the shapes or, when the reader has practiced the shapes enough already in previous projects, a different exercise will be included such as how to draw clusters of shapes. Space is provided for the reader to practice on the page. Page 4: A partly completed drawing to finish (pages will be perforated so the reader can pull out and keep/frame their final artwork if they wish). The projects will be devised and organized so that there is a progression in difficulty from the easiest shapes uniformly repeated through to highly complicated artworks built up of multiple tiny details that repeat and overlap. Practice is key for drawing tiny, so as readers work through the book they will become increasingly proficient. The following are examples of projects that might be included: Black Cats Tiny Flowers Tiny Houses Floral Mandala Blue Flower Mandala Floral Heart Ladybug Heart Autumn Mandala Tiny House Mandala Blueberry Mandala Mushroom Mandala Mushroom Triangle Mushroom Cat Spring Cat Mushroom Dog Moon Mushrooms Lightbulb Sugar Skull [to be replaced] Letter A Letter H
Drawings to Color (40 pp) All of the artworks included in the book printed as black and white linework for coloring. These will be printed one-sided with perforated pages so the finished artworks can be pulled out and kept/framed. Credits (1 p)
