Produktbeschreibung
Dreadful Outcomes is a collection of short tales about the spectral, supernatural and otherwise going on in the small Pennsylvania town of Wickesborough. Situated on the picturesque Clarion, Zombies, ghosts, and maniacs rub shoulders with ordinary people in this neglected corner of the Keystone State, where despair, hope, and irony are just different sides of the same three sided coin. A lot happens in Wickesborough that can't be explained, sometimes its lethal furniture, sometimes its shapeshifting grandparents. Cannibals are finicky about being confused with zombies, ghostly Indian warriors from the colonial period hunt the descendants of militiamen, and occasionally the contents of Mt. Lazarus, the local cemetery get up and go for a stroll. You never know who you might run into in Wickesborough, it's a popular destination for psychopaths, Seneca water demons and passed away friends and relations. In Wickesborough there are plenty of dead people that just won't lay down. In Wickesborough, from Mount Lazarus to the Clarion, the lucky and unfortunate are living lives of noisy desperation. If you're curious, stop by, but be careful about making friends with the locals, you never know what they'll get up to. All the stories are true; people I trust have told me so.
Autorenporträt
D.G.Heckman was active in the last half of the twentieth century in the United States. He worked in the entertainment industry (television, not the carny)which provided him with many acquaintances and anecdotes that may or may not be entertaining. Rather than repent of a misspent life and squandered youth, he applied pen to paper(actually, fingers to keyboard) and decided to share his recollections and tales with an indifferent public. He sincerely hopes you enjoy his efforts, that was his intent.
